FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Why do I have to make a reservation? 

Due to the size of the patch and our parking lot requiring reservations was the only way we can guarantee that we can park everyone safely and that the patch isn't overcrowded. 

Why do I have to pay to make a reservation?

Unfortunately, we have found that people tend to not show up if they don't have to pay for a reservation. This not only hurts us, but it takes away from other guests who wanted to come at the same time but there were no more reservations available.

How much does it cost to make a reservation?

$10 per carload, not person. No RVs, Buses or Passenger Vans are permitted.

What is included in my reservation?

Short answer... admission for 1 carload of people for 1 hour. Your reservation permits you and any guest(s) that comes with you in your singular vehicle, 1 hour in the tulip patch. Picking tulips are not included in your reservation. 

Can I pick tulips for an additional fee? And how many can I pick?

Yes, you can pick as many as your heart desires, just note that the price is $2.00 per stem. 

Can I reschedule my reservation? 

Yes, there is a link inside your confirmation email where you can reschedule your appointment. Just note that rescheduling is based solely on availability and will not be honored outside of the times listed on the reservation calendar. 

Will you have pre-picked tulip bouquets for sale?

Yes, If you prefer the convenience of pre-picked bouquets, you can orders yours for farm pick-up through our Online Store. 

What forms of payment do you accept?

• Cash is preferred.
• Credit cards… $10 minimum purchase required.
• No checks.

Where do I park when I arrive?

In the stone lot in front of the barn. Due to the wet spring weather, please do not park anywhere else.  

What should I wear?

Appropriate footwear and clothing. The ground is rough or uneven in spots and it is Springtime in Ohio… need we say more.

What should I bring?

You will want to bring a container to take your tulips home or you may purchase a keepsake cup to transport your flowers home. 

Do I need to bring my own scissors?

Nope, we provide snips for you to cut the bulbs off after picking. ​​​​​​​Please Note: only adults are permitted to use the flower snips per our insurance policy.

What type of tulips are in the patch?

We planted over 15,000 in the patch that range in various colors and specialty, such as parrot, fringe, double and more. 

Are your tulips sprayed with chemicals?

No, we are an organic farm (non-certified) and do not spray chemicals on any of our crops. 

I have never picked tulips before; how will I know what to do?

No worries, you will be given a brief demonstration on how to properly pick them. It is actually quite satisfying as you pull the bulb and all… crazy we know.  

Why would I pay to pick tulips when I can get them from the store?

In all honesty, for the experience!

Can I take people photos in the tulip patch?

Candid in the moment cellphone photos... Yes.

Staged photos (i.e., family photos, maternity, engagement, etc.) with any camera... No.

Professional photoshoots with any type of point and shoot camera... No. 

Nothing is more annoying than when you have to stop and wait on people to take photos, so you don't accidentally photobomb their shot. We want everyone to have the opportunity to bask in the beauty of the tulip patch without any interruptions. Trust us, your memories of the day will be even more special when you focus on the experience rather than striking a pose.

Can I bring my child(ren) with me?

Yes, well behaved child(ren) are permitted in the tulip patch. We do require that there is ONE adult for every TWO children in the patch. Due to the size of the patch and rows strollers and wagons are not permitted. 

Is the tulip patch wheelchair friendly?

No. 

Do you have a restroom?

No, so please plan accordingly. There are 2 gas stations less than 2 miles away from the farm though if nature calls.
