Why should I become a JK Orchard & Farm Member?
Honestly, community! While you will be privy to exclusive deals, days, pricing and discounts you will also be a part of an online community of like-minded local people to learn and grow from as well as privy to some of our best kept secrets and tips to organic gardening.
PLUS, as a member you get to be a part of something bigger than yourself. You will have the satisfaction of knowing your monthly membership is going to help us expand the farm so that we can continue to offer a place for more families to make memories as well as know where their food is coming from. In addition, your membership contribution supports the local economy as well as a local farmer.
Do I have to become a member to come to the farm?
Nope, not at all. Becoming a member just gives you extra perks for when you do come to the farm.
Is this a family membership?
Yes and no. As a member you will get exclusive deals and pricing that can be used among your immediate family members. For example, if you wanted to attend one of our events on the farm as a member you would get discounted pricing for tickets, of which you can use to purchase tickets for everyone in your immediate family.
Now the no comes in for the occasional bonuses we give out throughout the year it would only be one and not for everyone in the family. For example, one free pumpkin at our pumpkin festival but not a free pumpkin for everyone in the family.
Is this a CSA?
No, but as a member when we do offer CSA membership (hopefully in the near future) you will be privy to a discounted rate as well as first picks.
Does my membership rate ever go up?
Nope. Your membership rate will never go up as long as you remain an active member. As this membership grows and we continue to add more things the price will naturally increase but as an active member you are grandfathered in at the current price for as long as you stay a member. Just a note…we do plan to raise the rate later this year.
What if I don’t want to join the private online community?
No worries, you still get to enjoy all the other membership perks. We get it if you are more of an introvert and a lone wolf. Truth be told so are we, but we wanted to offer a safe place for our members to learn, share, network and stay connected to us and each other.
I don’t want to join the membership, but I do want to support you all and get involved. What can I do?
You could consider giving a one-time gift HERE. Or you could consider volunteering your time to help us on the farm during special events or projects. We are grateful for and appreciate any help.
Is there a fee for canceling my membership?
If I purchase the annual membership and I decide to cancel before my year is up will I be given a partial refund?
No, sorry. Remember though one of the benefits of paying in full for the annual membership is you get 2 months for free.
Are there any refunds?
Due to the nature of the membership there are no refunds.
How do I cancel my membership?
Just email us at firstname.lastname@example.org or call us at 419-604-4145 three days before your next scheduled renewal date to let us know you would like to cancel your plan. Or use the self-portal link in your renewal reminder email to cancel yourself. Just note, if you decide to join back again later you will have to pay the new membership rate at that time.
